In this chapter, the seamless steel pipe manufacturer will discuss the issues of seamless steel pipe fracture treatment and heat treatment for everyone
1. Handling of seamless steel pipe disconnection
After straightening the seamless steel pipe, the initial inspection and ash discharge should be carried out to confirm the length of the cutting head and tail. The purpose of cutting off seamless steel pipes is to remove ends with cracks, knots, scars, tears, and uneven thickness, in order to obtain the required sized seamless steel pipes. In addition, defects that are difficult to rescue after inspection, such as internal folding, scabs, and severe thickness unevenness, are also removed. Generally, the disconnection of the former is carried out on the production line, while the latter is disconnected offline.
2. Control of insulation time during heat treatment of seamless steel pipes
During the heat treatment of seamless steel pipes, the insulation time should ensure that the steel pipes in the furnace can be completely burned through, making the temperature uniform, and undergoing the necessary structural transformation to obtain uniform structure and performance. Generally, increasing the heating temperature can reduce the insulation time appropriately. When conducting low-temperature annealing (including softening, stress relief, and recrystallization annealing), the closer the annealing temperature is to the lower critical point A1, the faster the recovery of seamless steel pipes and the more thorough the effect of removing cold work hardening. Therefore, the insulation time can also be moderately reduced.
